Die Tannenburg in Nentershausen

Great ambience, very good food and friendly staff. A hike there is definitely recommended, but even those who are not so good on foot can drive almost to the castle by car. From the castle you have a wonderful view of the wonderful nature. The castle offers special programs that I have unfortunately not yet been able to participate because they are always fully booked. So if you want to have brunch or a knight's meal there, register early. The prices are absolutely okay for what you get.

Really classic castle from the 14th century, worth a visit, only open inside on weekends, but easy to see from the outside. Parking lot right at the castle.

Very nice, the not so long hike to the castle was very nice, the castle is in good condition. Lots of nice corners for sensational photos. It is definitely worth a visit.

Historical spot that connects Thuringia and Hesse. Very interesting castle tour. You can go hiking around the castle. Here the cake is still homemade and served warm. And the hearty food can only be recommended. All in all a very recommendable destination.

Unfortunately, some rooms were closed due to Corona. When the living castle comes back, we will definitely come back. The restaurant has a small menu but the food is delicious. We were all very happy.

After the hike on the Premium Trail of approx. 8 km, we stopped at the Tannenburg. We ate excellent. You should definitely reserve a table. A wonderful day.

Anyone who wants to sniff the scent of the past is right here. This is especially true for the food offered here, it was very good. Also the outside areas, the garden - I really liked the whole "surrounding". Plus the connection to the P18, really, really nice. I will gladly come again.

Despite our reservation, we waited 1.5 hours to be served. The waiters didn't apologize, just annoyed that it was pretty full. The guests who arrived after us had their meal before we could order. Even the drinks had to wait another 20 minutes after the order was finally placed. So the service was so bad overall that we will never go back there.

We had learned about this castle from a newspaper article and were very surprised at how pretty and romantic it was there. The small garden behind the castle is worth seeing, the restaurant offers delicious food at low prices and friendly service. We will definitely pay a second visit to this castle. The Tannenburg is an hour's walk from Baumbach Manor. You can see them from afar. Archery is offered at the castle. There is also a restaurant where you can eat delicious 😋 It's worth a visit!
